Katherine Solomon

Client Care and Marketing Coordinator

Katherine is a Marketing & Public Relations Specialist, and a life-long Ottawa resident who is passionate about her home town and the people who live here. Katherine earned her diploma in Public Relations from Algonquin College in 2006, and has worked in the non-profit sector for most of her career. She has always had an interest in Real Estate in Ottawa & beyond, and loves providing excellence in customer and client relations, and felt the opportunity to work with the Christine Hauschild Team was a logical step.

With a passion for all the creativity that comes with Marketing & Public Relations, Katherine’s roll on the team is to ensure that the listing process for our clients goes as smoothly as possible. She is there from introduction, to staging, to photos, and to marketing, all to ensure that our clients always have a friendly and responsive person helping them through what can sometimes seem daunting and scary. Her friendly nature, positive outlook and easygoing personality make her clients feel at ease. She also manages the marketing initiatives, original content, and social media for the team.

Outside of the Hauschild Chalet, Katherine enjoys spending free time with her family and friends, and fills almost every moment in using her hands to create homemade arts and crafts including crochet, cross stitch, and painting with acrylics. Katherine will almost always have a song in her heart while performing any task, and will sing aloud given the opportunity. Katherine uses her creativity in the arts in her role as a Guider for the Girl Guides of Canada’s 71st Unit Brownies since becoming an official adult member in 1998.

Katherine's Q&A

What do you do for fun?

Making things! I’m at my happiest when I get to make something, whether it be a creation of my own, or something with a pattern. I love the process of acquiring the tools and notions, sorting, and finally putting something together.

Favourite dessert?

Chocolate. I’m with Allison on this one.

What’s your most memorable experience to date?

Taking a private helicopter ride to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. It’s hot! My sandals started to melt.

What is your favourite season?

I love the Fall in Ottawa. We have the most spectacular green space for a big city, and the colours are phenomenal in Autumn. The air becomes more crisp, and the colours are gorgeous!

What is your favourite space in your home?

The living room, hands down. The afternoon light is perfect, and the central location gives me a good vantage point to see what else is going on in the home.

What motto do you live by?

Be kind.
